SUMMIT KIDS

Family Discipleship

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
- Deuteronomy 6:6-7

We want to help children understand that they exist to know and make known the real Jesus! Scripture is clear that parents are the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children. Our hope is to come alongside parents as partners in the discipleship process.

The rhythms and practices of the gathered church have a huge impact on our children.
When kids worship with their parents, watching their parents sing to God, pray, listen to God's word, and receive the Lord's Supper, it does something in them. For this reason, we love to have children in the service for the majority of our worship gathering. Children 3 years old through 4th grade can participate in our Summit Kids program during the sermon portion of the service. This gives them a chance to hear God's word taught in ways that are age-appropriate and understandable. If you have any questions about our approach to children's discipleship, let us know!

Summit Kids

Summit Kids is an optional children's program during the sermon portion of our Sunday service. We realize the importance of building in our children a Christ-centered spiritual foundation for all of life. Everything we do is aimed at helping children find their place in God’s big story, where Jesus is the hero. Our children's ministry provides a safe and interactive environment for the following age groups:
Nursery
0-3 years old
Pre-K
4-5 years old
K-2nd Grade
3rd-4th Grade

Curriculum

Our K-2nd Grade class uses The Gospel Project to walk through the Bible chronologically over a three year period. The curriculum weekly tells the story of how God redeems his creation through Jesus. Bible stories come alive each week through video, music, activities, and more.
Our 3rd-4th Grade class works through The New City Catechism, a 52 Question & Answer introduction to the Christian faith. The Catechism is built off of other historic catechisms including the Heidelberg and Westminster Shorter Catechism. Each week includes activities, songs, and fun ways to learn about God's glory and the goodness of his gospel.

Nursery

Nursery care is available throughout the service for children from newborn to 36 months old. We care about the safety of our kids. Our nursery is run by vetted and trained volunteers who love little ones. If any problems arise during the service, parents will be contacted.
